Queens, NY…Louis Armstrong Firm Museum Executive Director Michael Cogswell held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Museum's new 14,000-square- pes Education Center on Monday, July 17, 2017 beyond the street from the landmarked house of the legendary jazz great.

The ceremony volition include cursory remarks by:
• Queens Borough President Melinda Katz,
• Queens College President Félix Matos Rodríguez,
• CUNY Chancellor James Milliken,

Following the ceremony, the Museum will host a reception in the Armstrongs' beautiful garden.

Today their house, perfectly preserved, is a National Historic Landmark and a New York City landmark visited past people from all over the earth. The Museum is located at 34-56 107th Street in Corona, Queens, New York. The museum is open Tuesday–Fri from 10 am to 5 pm and Sabbatum/Sunday from 12 noon to 5 pm.
The exhibit "50 Years of What a Wonderful World" is on display at present through October and is free with museum admission. Parking is bachelor in the neighborhood and the Museum is accessible via the 7 train on the 103 St-Corona Plaza stop.

This museum is a fellow member of the American Brotherhood of Museums, Association of African American Museums, Museums Council of New York Metropolis, New York State Museums Association, National Trust for Celebrated Preservation, NYC & Co., and the Queens Tourism Council. The museum is a constituent of Kupferberg Center for the Arts at Queens Higher, CUNY.
