Queens, NY…Louis Armstrong Firm Museum Executive Director Michael Cogswell held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Museum's new 14,000-square- pes Education Center on Monday, July 17, 2017 beyond the street from the landmarked house of the legendary jazz great.

Cheers to the vision and funding of the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation, the museum welcomes visitors from all over the globe, six days per calendar week, 52 weeks per year. This museum is a fellow member of the American Brotherhood of Museums, Association of African American Museums, Museums Council of New York Metropolis, New York State Museums Association, National Trust for Celebrated Preservation, NYC & Co., and the Queens Tourism Council. The museum is a constituent of Kupferberg Center for the Arts at Queens Higher, CUNY.
